Basketball clinics at The Courts are instructed by experienced players and coaches. Private/Small Group Basketball Lessons with Coach Jerry Bechtold Please call The Courts to set up a date/time. Summer hours vary. (or click here for some of Coach Bechtold's fall basketball clinics!) Coach Jerry Bechtold spent 16+ years coaching women's basketball. He has worked with every level from first grade through women's high school varsity. In 2002, Jerry guided the Lady Hawks of Hebron to the state championship game. Coach Bechtold has received many honors including being named "Coach of the Year" in 2002. Coach Bechtold's real passion is developing individual skills necessary for future success. Private/Small Group Basketball Lessons with Coach Rob Walker By appointment only; please call to schedule a lesson. $50 for a private lesson or $25/person for a small group (up to 6 people) Coach Rob Walker has spent the past fifteen years dedicated to perfecting his coaching methods with 13 seasons of high school coaching experience at high schools such as Hebron, Michigan City, and Penn. Rob has learned how to inspire kids to reach their potential. He loves all aspects of the game but believes in emphasizing shooting techniques and form, as well as cybernetics. Rob will receive his Master's Degree from Ball State University in December, 2008. His Master's will be in Physical Education and Exercise Science with a specialization in coaching. Rob has been a Head Varsity Coach with both men's and women's basketball teams. He was awarded "Distinguished Educator" for Michigan City Area Schools in 2008 and was Berrien County (Michigan) Teacher of the Year in 2002.
